About Me

Born in 1995, my parents came to this country in 1993 from the former Yugoslavia. I was born and have lived in Ottawa my entire life, and I have no intentions to ever really live anywhere else. I’m just a young guy like any other, I like cracking jokes and hanging out with my buddies. In terms of passions, I’m the guy with an insatiable, somewhat obnoxious sense of curiosity. I look everything up that I can, not out of arrogance, but just out of a desire to make sure I’m properly informed on whatever it is that’s on my mind. As an extension of this, I have a great love for history and geopolitical dynamics, which I probably get from my family’s history. Within my blog, hopefully I’ll have something insightful to say that hopefully somebody can glean some knowledge from. At the same time, I hope somebody can comment on something I’m saying as well, so as to broaden my horizons.

The words I chose to describe myself were inquisitive, forthright, frivolous and flippant. Looking around campus for someone to embody any of these terms, I found two close friends that I felt would be perfect to ask. From the picture as you can see, they were cracking jokes and laughing heartily. So, frivolous and flippant (most of their jokes were less than appropriate) it was. The guy on the left introduced himself to me as Matt; the one on the right as Shawn. Both freshman like myself, they were very polite and were eager to appease my curiosity for the sake of my assignment. They were waiting outside Southam Hall around 9 PM this Wednesday on the 25th; they had nowhere to be and were content with just joking around over nothing. Overall, they were two incredibly kind and hilarious guys, and we became friends in an instant. I assume I’ll be seeing more of these two.
